What Are Some Tips You Can Give Me When Playing My First Online Texas Hold Em Tournament For Real Money?
i usually just play for play money but people call anything and it gets annoying after awhile so now i am going to play in real money tournaments. just the small ones, like 10 and 15 dollars.

Summarized:
Play tight and aggressive at the beginning of the tournament. Play premium hands i.e. AA, KK, QQ, JJ, AK, AQs. If you are dealt these hands bet aggressively especially in a good position (button, button-1).
Middle of tournament (nearing the bubble (=last player to be eliminated without getting paid out)), play more aggresively. More people will tighten up their game at this point to try and get in the money, you should play the opposite of these players and bet into them to take advantage of weaker players.
Later play – once you are in the money you can tighten up your game again. By now hopefully you will have a read on the other players and play accordingly.
Additional tips would be:
Do not call too much and chase cards. Know your odds and call/bet accordingly.
Position is a major advantage, on the button is the best position working backwards.
Try to get a read on your players, look out for similar betting patterns & habits.
Play aggressively.

I advise you to follow your instinct, don’t go to the river with just one pair, let the crazy players eliminate each other, when you have a chip lead, try to swat out the weaker stacks, and above all, don’t call anything you wouldn’t raise with. It will jsut get you in trouble.

play tight…bet on flush draws even when u dont have them…possibly use ur position to pump up the pot to avoid bad hand from entering the pot

Get your hands on a starting hand chart. You can probably get one online. My favorite one is in Phil Gordon’s Little Green Book (Google search it). I like Gordon’s charts because he has a chart for average tables, one for tables where you wish to play tight, and one with looser starting requirements. He also has a table for short-handed play. When I first started playing for money, I sat with the charts in front of me so I could always compare the strength of my hand to the potential hands of my opponents.
